This project was especially personal—Marika’s own home, which she moved into while eight months pregnant. Working within the original 1949 footprint, the renovations focused on enhancing flexibility and function to support a growing family, all while respecting the home’s scale and character. Thoughtful planning allowed existing spaces to work harder without overextending their proportions. The interiors are largely furnished with vintage pieces from the 1950s, a deliberate choice that complements the home’s era and ensures the scale of the furnishings feels perfectly in tune with the architecture.
